Microtest, Inc. was founded in 1995 to provide high performance RF/Microwave test fixtures and burn-in fixtures, and special components. The founders of Microtest have over 35 years experience (18 patents) in microwave components and subsystems. The test fixtures are designed and built for performance verification testing devices, packages and subsystems up to 40Ghz (up to 50Ghz in development). These fixtures utilize patented features which result in low VSWR transitions, high repeatability, increased throughput and longer-life.

What does Microtest Inc. do?
Microtest Inc. mainly design and manufactures microwave test fixtures- interfaces- adapters. They match the ports of the test equipment (Agilent, Anritsu, Rhode & Schwarz etc. on one side to a microwave device, package or module on the other side. Almost every design is custom made because of the large amount of different geometries.

It is Microtest's goal to pursue the optimum solution in any case (performance wise and cost wise). The company has therefore developed a building block approach (2 patents) which minimizes cost. The highly creative capability is constantly improving the cost per function ratio. The low overhead of the company assures maximum value for our customers. Another value to the customer is the help in creating specification for a test fixture. This is not always easy and can influence the cost greatly.

The above applies to manual, semiautomatic and full automatic (handler-inserts) test fixtures. Microtest Inc. also designs and manufactures microwave components such as: coaxial support structures, equalizers, adapters, attenuators, step attenuators, coaxial connectors, microwave probes, variable attenuators, transitions, transformers, etc. Microtest Inc. is also a channel partner with Agilent.
