It is designed such that the leads of the package do not change the characteristic impedance of the fixture. The measurement is therefore performed in a "close to 50 Ohm System". This also eliminates the need of calibration and therefore allows the use of a less expensive Scalar-Network Analyzer. The DC contacts have two contact points each and are balanced forcewise. An ejection button speeds up operation.
